Highland Vista Swim Team
BOARD NOTES
Hello, Wahoos! Hopefully most of you received an e-mail from us a few weeks ago. We are the new Co-Chairs of the Executive Board. 2007 was our first year with the team, and we had a BLAST, so we’re pleased to be able to help make such a wonderful experience possible again in 2008. Last year, we had a successful and fun-filled summer and look forward to another great season.
Coach Ed
We are fortunate to have Coach Ed returning as our head coach and Christina Myren is also coming back to assist, but Denton will not be back. We are actively recruiting for Denton’s replacement, so please contact us if you know of anyone interested.
Theater Night
We hope everyone remembers how much fun we had at last year’s Highland Vista Gaslight Theater night! (Our kids still sing the theme song “Secret – AGENT MAN!”) Not only was it a great time, but we raised a bit of money for the team.
This year’s show is called “Beach Blanket Be-Bop” and our big night is Sunday June 22nd at 7:00 pm.

Volunteers?
We always need volunteers for our fundraisers
and swim meets. You’ve probably heard it before, because it’s true: This super organization can’t function without your help. Grab a friend and join the Board and the dozens of other helpful souls who make this awesome team what it is.
Volunteer sign-up forms will be out at registration.
Please consider at least two commitments, as it
takes a lot of people to make a meet happen!

A NOTE FROM THE COACH
Greetings all you HV Wahoos! Wow, how time
flies! It seems like just yesterday when we were having water fights at the car wash, getting up early for practice, gorging down some ice cream after a swim meet and screaming our brains out at another exciting Championships.
It's hard to believe, but a new season is just around the corner! Christina and I are looking forward to seeing all of you at practice in April. Bring your suit, goggles, caps and fins and be ready for more fun and excitement. See you soon! Coach Ed
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Afternoon practices will begin April 9, 2008.
Times still need to be nailed down, but expect
something like:
8-under 4:00 to 4:30 PM
9-12 4:30 to 5:15 PM
13-18 5:15 to 6:15 PM.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for warm-up.
